The purpose of the Gateway Readers Award is to promote literacy, literature, and reading among high school students in Missouri. Students must read a minimum of 3 of the 15 nominated books in order to select their favorite book. The authors and illustrators who are selected, are recognized at the end of the school year, with their award, during the Missouri Association of School Librarian's annual conference. All nominated books are selected by fellow Missouri high school students.GATEWAY INFORMATION
